Steve best advice ever! i got it working with ONVIF the trick was. SS 5.0.2 shows the FI9821W V2 as a supported camera so this trick may work for you too. There was no model mismatch error and the cameras then worked fine. The cameras now listed in the Camera Configuration page, I went back and edited the camera models, changing them them from Generic to Foscam and selecting FI9826W. The cameras did not work this way, but at least SS accepted the config. So what I did was to initially configure the cameras as 'Generic' cameras, which SS accepted. When configuring I set the camera model to FI9826W and got a model mismatch error. I understand these are the same cameras with the 'P's having an extra 'P2P' simple-config function. I was in a similar situation, having ordered two FI9826Ws and received FI9826Ps.
Bypassing the need to access your router and setup port forwarding, the FI9821P can be set up effortlessly by anyone, even those with very little IT experience. The Foscam FI9821P is Foscam's first 'Plug & Play' camera featuring the ability to connect via smartphone by simply scanning the QR code on the underside of the camera.
